Dave Prietto has spent his entire career in the trenches fighting for firefighters. A longtime Hemet Firefighters Association President, he stepped into leadership during one of the most challenging periods in his local’s history. With no learning curve and no time to waste, Dave dove headfirst into understanding CPF and IAFF resources, mastering strategic campaigns, GIS studies, political action, and coalition building to protect his members.

His leadership is defined by passion, accountability, and an unwavering commitment to doing what’s right—even when it’s hard. From battles with city leadership to standing up publicly for firefighter rights at the 2022 IAFF Convention censuring his former Fire Chief, Dave has never backed down when it comes to defending the people he serves.

Dave is running for CPF 1st District Vice President to continue the strong legacy built by leaders like Tim Strack and Doc Roberts. He brings real experience, real results, and the relentless drive of someone who has lived the fight, won the fight, and is ready to serve every local in the First District.
